9:17. ಇಜ್ರೇಲಿನ ಬುರುಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬ ಕಾವಲುಗಾರನು ನಿಂತಿದ್ದನು. ಅವನು ಯೇಹುವಿನ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಗುಂಪು ಬರುತ್ತಿರುವುದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದನು. ಅವನು, “ನಾನು ಜನರ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಗುಂಪನ್ನು ನೋಡುತ್ತಿರುವೆನು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. ಯೋರಾವುನು, “ಅವರನ್ನು ಸಂಧಿಸಲು ಯಾರನ್ನಾದರೂ ಕುದುರೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ, ‘ಶುಭವಾರ್ತೆಯುಂಟೋ?’ ಎಂದು ಅವನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಕೇಳಲಿ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

9:17. ಇಜ್ರೇಲಿನ ಬುರುಜಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಾವಲು ಗಾರನು ನಿಂತಿದ್ದನು. ಇವನು ಬರುವ ಯೇಹುವಿನ ಗುಂಪನ್ನು ಕಂಡು--ನಾನು ಗುಂಪನ್ನು ನೋಡುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೋರಾಮನು ರಾಹುತನನ್ನು ಕರೆದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಎದುರಾಗಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ--ಸಮಾಧಾ ನವೋ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಲಿ ಅಂದನು.

9:17. Now the watchman was standing on the tower in Jezreel and saw Jehu's troops approaching. He said, "I see troops!" Jehoram ordered, "Send a rider out to meet them and have him ask, 'Is everything all right?'"
